Event details
We will meet in San Gimignano in the morning for a tour dedicated to one of the most recognizable medieval towns in Tuscany.
The towers will not simply be the backdrop to our walk: they will be the starting point for talking about power, prestige, family rivalries, and urban life in the Middle Ages. We will try to understand why San Gimignano still appears so extraordinarily medieval today, and what its streets, squares, houses, and transformations can tell us.
During the tour, we will also visit the Collegiata, a treasure chest of medieval painting and religious imagery. The entrance ticket to the Collegiata is not included in the cost of the tour.
Just for italian speakers
The ticket is non-refundable, except in the event that the weather does not allow the tour to take place and the new proposed date is not compatible with your availability.
Due to the duration and content of the tour, I especially recommend this experience for adults or older children/teenagers who are interested in the subject.
