Town walk through history, archaeology, and craftsmanship
We will meet in Volterra in the morning and spend approximately 3 hours together, more or less until lunchtime, walking through history, archaeology, and local craftsmanship.
During the tour, we will read the town through the traces that time has left in its monuments and streets: from the Etruscans to the Romans, all the way to the Middle Ages.
Volterra still preserves very clear signs of its long history, and the idea is not simply to “see” the town, but to try to understand it a little more deeply.
And since in Volterra it is impossible not to talk about alabaster, we will end the tour in the workshop of a local artist, who will tell us more about this tradition so deeply connected to the town and answer our questions.
The tour ticket is non-refundable, except in the event that the weather does not allow the visit to take place and the new proposed date is not compatible with your availability.
Due to the topics covered and the duration of the tour, this experience is better suited to adults or older children/teenagers who are interested in the subject.
