Event details
In the afternoon, we will enter Volterra’s museums to continue reading the city through the images, objects, and artworks that tell its story.
At the Pinacoteca, we will focus on several important works, including the extraordinary Deposition by Rosso Fiorentino, while at the Guarnacci Etruscan Museum we will enter the world of funerary urns, symbols, and the most famous masterpieces of Etruscan Volterra, such as the Urn of the Spouses and the Shadow of the Evening. It will be a tour designed to observe slowly, connect different periods, and give meaning to what we see.
Not a race through the museum rooms, but a way to better understand the soul of the city through what it has preserved over the centuries.
The tour ticket is non-refundable, except in the event that the visit cannot take place and the new proposed date is not compatible with your availability.
Due to the topics covered and the duration of the tour, this experience is especially recommended for adults or older children/teenagers who are already interested in art, archaeology, and history.
